The cast and crew of CentreStage Theatre’s upcoming performance of Wise Women are excited to hit the stage. Front row, from left are Penny Nelson and Charley McBride. Contributedhas become special to the cast and crew who are ready to perform it.“I love the dissection of the relationships, breaking down what makes humans tick and bringing their humanity to the forefront,” director Spencer Laing said.
As the women struggle, grow, and ultimatley succeed, they remind the audience that everyone is family and, in each other's company, they may find themselves. Laing, who has performed for years with Fezziwig, Stage Prophets and in the occasional CentreStage show, brings his professionally trained eye to this production. He will be making his directorial debut with the theatre, assisted by seasoned actor/director and CentreStage board member Bryen Stoddard.
“I have always loved theatre and the sense of community that it creates,” Laing said. “After two years away, it is so important to me to get back to creating that community and fostering relationships.”
