Summerside's bylaw and policy review committee briefly examined the issue a little more than two years ago, but nothing ever came of those discussions. He added that, at the time, council had heard few complaints about short-term rentals in the community. But, given the severity of the housing crisis, he would like to see the city revisit the issue.Coun. Brian McFeely agreed that a lot can change in just two or three years, so he endorsed sending the topic back to the committee for further discussion.
