The Strait Pirates edged the Membertou Jr. Miners 4-3 at Richmond Arena in Louisdale on Friday in a game called off with 13 minutes to play in the third period due to an ice issue.Landon Clark, Alex MacKinnon, and Liam Burke replied with goals for the Jr. Miners.Meanwhile, in Antigonish on Friday, Hunter Chenhall was the story of the night for the Eskasoni Eagles.
Marcellus Francis netted a hat trick scoring three times, while Jacob Denny had a goal and two assists for the Eagles.In other action, the Jr. Miners were edged 7-6 by the Bulldogs at the Membertou Sport and Wellness Centre on Saturday.
