“I know that Islanders cherish our health care system and its workers. Islanders want well-funded and supported health services that are vital to our communities,” said Neill.

Neill is a lifelong P.E.I. resident and has raised her family here. She said the NDP will stop privatization of health care, end the doctor shortage, improve senior care, ambulance wait times and cancer supports, stop emergency department and hospital closures and fight for a national pharmacare program.“They know, day in and day out, what’s going on in the system.
“We could still have some kind of an app, but it needs to be run by our public health-care system,” she said.“So, we definitely have to recruit, retain and also train all of our nurses and doctors and LPNs and RCWs – everyone – to work as a team here on P.E.I.,” said Neill. Neill also said that, if elected, she will work to make it easier for foreign-trained professionals to have their credentials accepted here.
