NDP Leader Marit Stiles said Hamilton Centre candidate Sarah Jama is one of the province\u0027s leading disability justice advocates.
“The candidate has called for the creation of a Palestinian state from the ‘river to the sea,’ obliterating Israel from the map,” B’nai Brith says. “Ms. Jama’s views may reflect the party militants in Hamilton Centre who chose her to replace Ms. Horwath, but they certainly do not reflect what the people of Ontario and Canada think. In fact, Ms. Jama does not reflect the NDP’s own position.”
“I think at the very least the residents of Hamilton Centre and particularly the Jewish community of Hamilton Centre, deserve an apology for what is clearly anti-Semitic rhetoric, and the NDP have a lot of soul-searching to do in terms of their support for the Jewish community,” Blais said.Article content
