How do you even know when the switch is ready to be flipped?
It’s a question that has stumped the Buffalo Sabres for the past decade. And it’s one that Don Granato believes he’s finally found an answer for.
“Buffalo, I think was one of the harder teams to play last year,” said Matthew Tkachuk, whose Panthers hung on for a 4-3 win against the Sabres last week. “Some people might disagree, but they had a very talented team.”A year after the New York Rangers ended their four-year drought and not only made the playoffs, but reached Game 6 of the Eastern Conference final, there are four other rebuilding teams trying to do the same.
“We want that challenge,” Senators captain Brady Tkachuk said at last month’s player tour in Vegas. “We want to prove all the doubters wrong.”
