SPOONER, Wisc. -- A three-goal third period sparked the Thunder Bay North Stars to a 4-3 victory on Friday to open their SIJHL Showcase weekend.
Matthew Halushak, Colby Feist and Dylan Winsor, with the winner with 90 seconds to go in regulation, powered the Stars to a fourth straight Superior International Junior Hockey League win, after trailing the host Wisconsin Lumberjacks 3-1 after 20 minutes.Zach Johnson, had a pair for Wisconsin, and Dillon Phillips had a single, his fourth of the year.
Sioux Lookout 4, Fort Frances 1: Connor Burke, Aiden Parker and Tegan Neuman scored first period tallies to power the expansion bombers to victory. Clark Scaddan had the lone goal for the Lakers
