The price of furnace oil is changing again — but this time it’s dropping — in the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission’s latest unscheduled adjustment.The price of furnace oil is changing again — but this time it’s dropping — in the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission’s latest unscheduled adjustment.
In its adjustment, which went into effect at 12:01 a.m. on Oct. 18, IRAC said the price of furnace oil decreased by 8.0 cents per litre while the cost of diesel dropped 7.0 cpl. With the change, the maximum price of furnace oil is 200.1 cpl while diesel ranges from 255.9 to 257.0 cpl.In recent weeks, the price of furnace oil has increased more than 50 cents per litre, including several unscheduled adjustments.IRAC’s next scheduled adjustment is Oct. 21.
