“I looked at my life, and my curling life in particular, and I knew I couldn’t do everything that I was doing,” Walker said from her home in Edmonton this week.
“I started to feel the grind a little bit over the last couple of years,” she said. “I’m sure that’s largely in part to having a lot more going on at home than I would have had before.” Walker and Muyres were among the teams considered to represent Canada at the Olympics in Beijing earlier this year. “There are a lot of teams around the world, particularly in Europe, that have made this their main focus for five, six years.”
