Province has yet to approve this ‘term sheet,’ which will set the table for negotiations with Laurentian over the purchase of university properties
The preliminary list of Laurentian University properties that could be purchased by the province includes “seven parcels of land, totalling approximately 69 acres, with no conservation lands included.”
During the Feb. 17 board meeting, Laurentian’s board approved a “term sheet” regarding the sale of university lands. When Sudbury.com last reported on this subject in early March, an update was expected by the end of that month. “I can't really refer to individual properties at this point until we get sign-off from the province,” he said.
