JOHN'S, N.L. — At the Pleasant View Towers long-term care facility in St. John’s, there are more than 150 nursing staff vacancies, resulting in the largest number of empty beds of any long-term care home in the province.

“With an increase in nursing staff, we will be able to accept additional residents into our long-term care facilities and provide them with the care that they need,” said Debbie Walsh, vice-president of clinical services and chief nursing officer at Eastern Health, who joined Osborne for the announcement.
