Cody Jamieson collected two goals and four assists, Randy Staats had five points and Ryan Benesch tallied two goals and two assists to pace the Thunderbirds in their second straight win. Benesch surpassed 1,200 career points, becoming the seventh player in league history to reach that milestone. Fannell’s hat trick goal capped a three-goal run for Halifax in the second quarter to increase its lead to 7-2. The Thunderbirds went into halftime ahead 8-4.
Mitch Jones paced the Wings with three goals and four assists and Ben McIntosh netted four goals. Defender Alex Pace of Halifax had two assists and nine loose balls.
