'Real criminals have stolen from us and accosted us but the police do nothing.'
This morning, for the second time in a few months, I was pulled over by an unmarked police vehicle. The officer told me that he pulled me over because my license plate was covered in snow. Fair enough. After running my plates and checking my driver’s license, he then proceeded to administer a breathalyzer test.
In those same few months, my wife and I have been robbed of something in the neighbourhood of $50,000 in company equipment and personal possessions and my dear wife has been threatened with bodily harm. The police response? Nothing, because “those are civil matters.”
