Somehow, some way, the Senators need to find consistency amidst all their inconsistency.
“Right in front of you is the shift in front of you. It’s the first six minutes of the game until the first TV timeout, it’s the penalty kill and it’s the little things in front of you. It’s amazing, when you’re not doing them it feels like it’s not going good for you. Things can turn quickly in this league and when things start going good, they can go really quick.”
That’s been an issue for the Senators all season and the club is trending in the wrong direction. “We’re frustrated right now. We want to play the right way and we want to do the right things, but we’ve been saying that. We’ve got to go out there and actually do it,” Giroux said. “You’ve got to go baby steps. You have to take it one game at a time. You can’t look at the big picture, you look at the record and you see it’s going to be a challenge to get back into the playoff spot.
