Football fans crowded into local bars and restaurants to watch the Philadelphia Eagles battle the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII.
“We opened the doors at noon and then we start our buffet at 1:30 and then we do the buffet 1:30-3 and then at 3 o’clock, we kind of start tearing everything down,” says Sticky Wicket manager Brendon Norton. The return of the annual watch party is a welcomed boost after pandemic restrictions put a stop to similar gatherings in 2021 and 2022.
“We’re expecting over 400 people to be here, between the Sticky Wicket Hall, Games Room, Wicket and the Clubhouse,” says Norton.Several hours before kickoff fans were filing in, ready to support their picks for the big game.Sign up for our newsletter to get breaking news and daily digests sent to your email.“I think if you look at the jersey, probably not going to pick the Eagles today,” laughs Norton, who is a Chicago Bears fan.
