“Over the next two years, staff and volunteers will continue to provide the critical services that support the health and well-being of our community, while ensuring the least amount of disruption to our clients and community we serve, especially for those who call this Y facility their home,” Susannah Crabtree, chair of the board of directors, added in the release.
The building on Argyle Avenue includes one of two YMCA-YWCA health, fitness and aquatics centres in the Ottawa area, along with one of its three licensed daycare centres and its corporate services department. The other fitness centre listed on its website is in Rockland, with the two other licensed daycares both in Orléans. There are also three employment and newcomers service centres downtown and one on Merivale Road, as well as neighbourhood day camps and both a camp and an outdoor education/leadership centre in Dunrobin.Recommended from Editorial
