Meanwhile, Sam Caldwell of North Sydney was the second Cape Breton runner to cross the finish line with a time of two hours, 50 minutes and 44 seconds. Ryan MacDonald of Sydney wrapped up his first Boston Marathon with an impressive showing of three hours, eight minutes and 13 seconds. Laura Doucette of Sydney finished in three hours, 10 minutes and 21 seconds.
Ann Doyle of Sydney also took part in the race and finished in four hours, 17 minutes and 36 seconds, while Linda Miles of Blacketts Lake completed her first Boston Marathon with a time of four hours, 45 minutes and 28 seconds.
