SYDNEY – A pair of Cape Breton connections earned all-star team honours at the SaltWire East Coast Ice Jam tournament over the weekend. Defenceman Lance Martell of the Port Hawkesbury-based Cabot Highlanders was named to the second all-star team in the under-16 ‘AAA’ division. Meanwhile, Cape Breton Eagles draft pick Brady Wambolt of the Steele Subaru Majors of Dartmouth was named to the second all-star team for the under-18 major division.
