A Brock Township man is facing criminal harassment charges after children in Orillia said they were followed or approached.The first happened around 5:50 p.m. when a youth said they were followed by a man on a trail. The child called their parent, who went to the area and reported the incident to police. Officers responded, but did not find the person or their vehicle.
Then ten minutes later, officers were called to a second incident where a group of kids said they were approached by someone in a dark-coloured vehicle. The children ran home and called police. Orillia OPP asked for the help of OPP Aviation Services, who immediately deployed to help with the search for the vehicle.
After an extensive investigation, OPP arrested and charged Matthew Rooney-Forgues, 29, of Brock Township with four counts of criminal harassment.Ctrl+Enter
