The Vancouver Giants enter this week in a wait\u002Dand\u002Dsee mode when it comes to both injuries and possible suspensions. Find out more.

Giants coach Michael Dyck is hopeful that top scorer Ty Thorpe and No. 2 man Samuel Honzek are back in the lineup when they resume action Saturday when they host the Saskatoon Blades at the Langley Events Centre.

Dyck said after the game that he didn’t get a good look at the play and was yet to review it on video. He did point out that Newman finished the game, even though the trainer visited him on the ice immediately after the fracas. The league seems to factor in injuries into its decisions regarding suspensions.

Meanwhile, Thorpe was hurt in Vancouver’s 2-1 overtime win in Victoria on Friday and left the game midway through. He did not play Saturday.Article content
