Entering through the door of the old, historic building on Young Street – the moment at hand had me beaming with enthusiasm.
Joanne Hunt was born in Montreal. Her family moved to Brookfield in 1980 when she was 16. Following graduating from high school, she attended, taking graphic design. Employment followed working for Orval Pulsifer and later Stu Rath at Eastern Cablevision. A professional artist for a number of years, Hunt is a painter, producing many water colours. Her paintings have sold internationally.
Hunt brought my attention to numerous resources available to researchers through visiting the Colchester Archives. The library has an enormous display of historical material and files, there is also a large collection of photos and 160 archival boxes of Colchester County school registers.
