A woman testified Thursday that a lawyer she had met at a Vancouver bar later sexually assaulted her in a hotel room.

She said she and the others with her were drinking and “blowing off steam” and got into a heated debate with some men who were seated nearby. Her next memory was of standing on a corner near Georgia Street, near the Vancouver Hotel, and having difficulty standing on her feet, she said.Court heard that the alleged sexual assault occurred in the Sutton Place Hotel on Burrard.
She said she didn’t recall whether she actually said the words but it felt like an “oh, f—k moment” and she wondered whether she was safe.She said she woke up in the bed with her pants and underwear having been taken off and the accused between her legs and performing oral sex on her.Asked by Crown counsel Phillip Sebellin as to whether she had consented to sexual contact, she said: “Absolutely not.
