Police say the woman sustained minor injuries in what they believe to have been an unprovoked attack.
Toronto police say a woman was slashed across the face with an edged weapon at Spadina subway station on Sunday evening.
Officers were called to the station at around 6:30 p.m. and found a woman suffering from a wound. Paramedics, who were on scene, assessed the injury as minor and told the Star they did not transport the victim to hospital. Police said they believe the attack was random and that the suspect fled the scene. This is an ongoing investigation.
