The victim reported travelling eastbound on Craigflower Road at Tillicum Road when the driver became enraged and drove inches behind their bumper, holding down the vehicle’s horn and gesturing.
Victoria police are seeking witnesses to a road-rage incident that stretched from Esquimalt to Victoria on Tuesday afternoon.
Just before 2:30 p.m., a Victoria police officer responded to a call from a motorist who was followed within inches by a motorist driving an older-model maroon Mercedes four-door SUV blaring his horn. The motorist reported that the behaviour continued more than two kilometres along Craigflower Road to the intersection of Bay Street and Bridge Street, where the Mercedes driver turned left to head north on to Bridge Street.The Mercedes driver is described as a white heavy-set man age 40 to 50 with longer hair that was possibly in a ponytail.
Police are asking anyone who recognizes the description of the driver and vehicle, who saw the incident, or who has related dashcam or doorcam video to call 250-995-7654 extension 1, or Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 to remain anonymous.
