A barn favourite in the former stable of the late Glenn MacKay Jr., who passed away in November 2021, the 2017 Atlantic champion trotter was unhurried in the $2,800 event, getting away last in the field as he prepared to light up the tote board at 21-1 odds. Windmeredontuworry rallied from the backfield in the final quarter to swing wide and mow down his foes in the stretch for a three-length win in 2:00.4.
MacPherson had three wins on the day as he also scored with Dusty Lane Zendaya for trainer Alexis Gass and Heatherspet from the Neil Bambrick barn.
