Warren Ellis, left, was awarded the Summerside Mayor's Medal of Honor by Mayor Basil Stewart on Oct. 11. ContributedSUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — Business owner and philanthropist Warren Ellis has received the Summerside Mayor's Medal of Honour.
Ellis's work has led to the success of one of the biggest hospital fundraisers in Atlantic Canada, Grass Roots and Cowboy Boots, raising more than $12 million in 14 years. Ellis is also known to hand-deliver holiday meals to those in the community that his business prepares.
