The reward to help solve the murders of Honey and Barry Sherman has now been pushed up to $35 million.
Originally the figure was $10 million, but at the fifth anniversary of the billionaires being found dead inside their Old Colony Road mansion in Toronto, their son Jonathon Sherman, saying he’s “haunted” by what transpired, has added an additional $25 million.As the Canadian national soccer teams head to their respective FIFA World Cups, Derek Van Diest is on the scene to cover all the action.
The Toronto Sun has attempted to reach out to Jonathon Sherman but so far has not made contact. But he did tell the CBC he’s adding “$25 million to the reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction” of his parents who were found with belts around their necks in the pool area of the now-demolished mansion.Article content
Originally deemed a murder/suicide by Toronto Police, following a second autopsy and private investigation initiated by Jonathan Sherman the case since Jan. 26In the years since the slayings there have been thousands of tips looked into including an earring found in front of the Shermans’ home that fit the description of ones Honey Sherman wore in photographs.
