Two men are charged with possession of cocaine, heroin, fentanyl, carfentanil, methamphetamine, etizolam and benzodiazapine for the purpose of trafficking.
A 29-year-old man will be going to trial on three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking as well as weapons charges.
The latter charges stem from July 23, 2019, when Tristin Johnson is said to have carried a concealed folding knife for a dangerous purpose, state court registry files.Together, they are charged with the possession of cocaine, heroin, fentanyl, carfentanil, methamphetamine, etizolam and benzodiazapine for the purpose of trafficking.
The second man is also charged with the same weapons charges except his relate to a knife rather than a folding one. Judge Jennifer Oulton on Nov. 21 heard that Johnston is pleading not guilty to all charges. He has elected a trial by provincial court judge. Defence lawyer David Fai told Oulton there will also be a constitutional challenge to the validity of a search warrant.The situation of the second man cannot be determined as the file is not accessible through the online court services system.jhainsworth@glaciermedia.
