Work to be carried out this Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
A stretch of Highway 16 from 16 kilometres east of Tete Jaune to five kilometres west of Moose Lake will be closed from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to allow for avalanche deposit removal, according to a posting on the DriveBC website."The road will be closed. Detour will not be available," the service added.
On Tuesday, DriveBC said a 2.2-kilometre stretch of Highway 16 just west of Moose Lake will be closed for the same hours to allow for avalanche control. However, that posting is no longer up on the website.
