Conservative Sen. Leo Housakos brought up the readout at a Wednesday evening meeting of the Senate transport and communications committee, which is in the process of amending Bill C-11. “Our biggest trading partner has expressed concern today,” he said. Ripley added: “We have consistently heard from them about the importance of making sure that at the end of the day, the framework is sufficiently flexible, that they are able, from their perspective, to continue to operate in the Canadian market…we have consistently borne that in mind.”
