Annapolis District RCMP has arrested two men after a weapons complaint in Nictaux on March 8. - ContributedNICTAUX, N.S. — Annapolis District RCMP have arrested two men following a weapons complaint in Nictaux.
The suspect was not located when officers arrived at the scene minutes later. However, a witness provided officers with the name of a 45-year-old Nictaux man, leading police to a nearby home on Highway 201.The driver was told not to approach, but police said he refused to listen and drove into the driveway of the home, left his vehicle and tried to enter the residence.
Not long after, the suspect in the weapons incident left the home and was arrested. RCMP officers discovered that he had been carrying a long flashlight, and no firearm was involved in the incident.The 45-year-old Nictaux man was released from custody and will be facing charges of possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
