The Town of Truro is undertaking a review of its municipal ward boundaries and is inviting residents to take part in the process. | SaltWire

Town staff have been reviewing existing electoral boundaries since spring 2022, including a review of the current population, the number of current electors, population and growth trends and areas of increased development. “Changing demographics and migration causes the population of individual wards to vary over time and this makes boundary reviews necessary,” said Alison Grant, manager of economic development.
Once the review is complete, it must be submitted to the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board. If the board determines that a ward varies more than plus or minus 10 per cent from the average number of voters per ward, boundaries may need to be adjusted.
