The GTA is getting another dumping of snow on Friday — and a lot of it. Toronto can expect to see between 15 and 20 centimetres of snow tomorrow evening into Saturday, said Environment Canada meteorologist Gerald Cheng.

Cheng said the snow is expected to start falling around 5 p.m, in the middle of the evening rush-hour commute.Environment Canada has issued afor Toronto on Friday morning. Winter storm watches are issued when there are multiple types of severe winter weather that is expected to occur in tandem. “Be prepared for the spill that’s coming. Stay safe and take it slow, because snow does affect visibility and it does make roads slippery not only for drivers but also for pedestrians.”The city of Toronto confirmed in an email that warming centres will open Friday in anticipation of the winter weather.
