Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Toronto as high winds are expected on Wednesday.
The weather agency says strong wind gusts near 80 km/h could start as early as Wednesday afternoon and last into early evening.
“High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break,” warns Environment Canada’s news release.Toronto’s forecast is expected to hit double digits on Wednesday, soaring to a balmy high of 14C, making it “feel more like March or early April.” The weather agency says skies will be cloudy with a 70 per cent chance of showers in the morning, and clearing by late afternoon.Thursday will see more rain and perhaps some snow at night, with clouds and a 60 per cent chance of showers and a high of 3C and low of -8C.
Friday is expected to be a mix of sun and cloud with a 30 to 40 per cent chance of flurries and a high of -3C, and reach a low of -11C at night. The clouds will linger into the weekend, as Saturday is expected to bring a mix of sun and cloud and a high of 2C and Sunday is forecast to see clouds with a high of 4C and a 30 per cent chance of showers at night.
