Toronto Police have arrested three individuals who they allege broke into mailboxes across the GTA and southern Ontario over several months.
The financial crimes unit, working with Canada Post officials, the Ministry of Finance and the Canadian Border Service Agency, say the suspects broke into Canada Post mailboxes and stole cheques, credit cards, identity documents and other valuables.
Krisztian Algacs, 32, Miklos Budai, 34, and Zoltan Organa, 31, all from Toronto, face charges of mail theft, mischief under $5,000 and possessing property over $5,000 obtained by crime.
