Animal shelter Toronto Humane Society is urging the community for help after their van and other essential rescue items were stolen Monday night.
On Tuesday, the organization said in a statement that two individuals broke into their building and stole the items, including the van that was used to transport animals with medical complications.
“Please be aware no staff or animals were harmed, and measures have been put in place to protect staff and animal safety for the immediate future.” Toronto Police is investigating but could not provide any further details, as the investigation is still in early stages.
