Torontonians will have to shovel to get out of their driveways this morning as the city got hit with its first blast of snow of the year overnight.
The City said they have begun salting operations, but expect your commute to be a little slower this morning.
The weather travel advisory has ended for Toronto, though flurries and another centimetre of snow is expected. Outside the city, the travel advisory remains with heavier snow still expected.The City says it will open three warming centres on Friday at 7 p.m. They will be available by walk in at the following locations: Scarborough Civic Centre at 150 Borough Drive, Metro Hall at 55 John Street, Mitchell Field Community Centre at 89 Church Avenue.
The temperature will remain near -3 C on Friday with wind chill -11 C. In the evening, the temperature will drop to -9 C, wind chill -10 C.
