After more than two decades of wondering if the blip was a shipwreck or geologic feature, the mystery was solved through a dive to the sonar target during the recent Titanic expedition. Steve Ross, the chief scientist for OceanGate Expeditions, the organization which supported the studies, said the discovery will change the way people think about the biodiversity of the ocean abyss.
