Annapolis Valley residents are collecting donations to make sure school-age children receive a Christmas stocking this year.KENTVILLE, N.S. — Volunteers are working hard to ensure Annapolis Valley children have a stocking on Christmas morning.
“Christmas is a financial strain for a lot of parents,” said organizer Donna Conrad. “As a community, if we all pull together and each do a little bit, it makes it a little easier for everyone.”Now in its 10th year, the program has helped thousands of families. The group filled more than 1,500 stockings in 2021 and officials anticipate the need to be about the same this year.
