Canada is preparing the way for private-sector companies to launch orbital satellites from Canada in three years or sooner, Transport Minister Omar Alghabra announced on Friday at the Canadian Space Agency in Montreal’s Longueuil suburb.
“Canadian technologies — like the Canadarm, which is our most famous technological achievement in the field of robotics — continue to be an important part of many space missions,” Alghabra said.
