SYDNEY, N.S. - The Sydney Mitsubishi Rush and the Cape Breton West Islanders began the second half of their Nova Scotia Under-18 Major Hockey League season with losses over the weekend.The Rush were defeated 10-4 by the Weeks Majors of Pictou County at the Membertou Sport and Wellness Centre on Sunday.On Saturday, Sydney was downed 5-3 by the Weeks Majors in Membertou.
Ben Wallace had a four-point performance, which included two goals, while Lane Sim, Mac Wallace and Lane Lochead each netted single marker for the Majors.Weeks' Colby Brown made 29 saves. Sydney's William Stonehouse stopped 33 of 38 shots.Cape Breton West was edged 3-2 by the Cole Harbour Pro Hockey Life Wolfpack at the Al MacInnis Sports Centre on Sunday.Jack Hayne and Campbell Barrett replied with goals for the Islanders .
Stobo scored three times and added an assist, while Jack Sangster netted two goals. Totten had a goal and three assists, while Elijah Rivera, Ben Robertson and Cole MacPhee chipped in with goals for the Wolfpack.Cole Harbour's Jackson Hurley made 18 saves.
