Court records show Ham, who is in his late 30s, was facing an assault charge related to an incident in Vancouver on March 17. A warrant was issued for his arrest on Monday. On Tuesday, Yang was with city parks staff checking on a tent at Broadview Park off Canada Way. Just before noon, a civilian found the officer critically wounded and called 911.Article content
