Charlie Cameron, the first captain in franchise history to win a league title with the Summerside Western Capitals, fist bumps Capitals forward Tate Brenner ahead of the Saturday, Oct. 8 game against the Fredericton Red Wings. Cameron was one of nine former Capitals captains from previous title-winning teams invited back for a pre-game ceremony to raise the 2021-22 Maritime Junior Hockey League championship banner at the Island Petroleum Energy Centre on Oct. 8.Returning championship captains for the ceremony included Cameron, Gordie Rodgerson , Darryl Ashley , Peter Gallagher , Darcy Hutchinson , Harrison McIver and Scott Trask .
That includes Gallagher, who played for the Capitals from 1987-89, winning titles in his final season.
