“It’s an extremely special place, and also with that, comes some real wild terrain,” Mosteller explained. “As you ride that gondola up and the magical mountain is unfolding, then you have to plan your route, and it is a place to pay attention. There’s such a wide variety of terrain, and for advanced skiers, it’s probably got the best offering of black diamond and advanced terrain in all of Western Canada and the most chute skiing in North America.
Mother Nature has done her part this season, too, especially over the last month and a half. Like most resorts across the region, January was a bit dry on the mountain, but the snow has since been falling hard and consistently. And Kicking Horse being Kicking Horse, there are a tonne of events between now and the end of the season, too.
