If I’m being honest about it, I’d never considered renting an RV.
Well, I am here to inform you that I’d been missing out. Yes, driving through the Rockies in the dead of winter and sleeping on the side of a ski hill is a good idea. A great idea, even.
After skiing all day Saturday, drive to Kamloops for a day and a spend the night at the truly wondrous Sun Peaks Resort where, again, we’d park, sleep and wake up mere metres from the bottom of the Morrisey Express.The only real question was whether my friend and I could actually drive the Maxi Motorhome that CanaDream had provided us with for our weekend adventure. This thing was awesome.
And the driving? That’s what I was most nervous about. The little Toyota Corolla hatchback I drive every day is a whole lot smaller than a Maxi Motorhome, and I’ll admit that had me nervous. I’ve stayed at lots of ski-in, ski-out spots in my time, but I’ve never been this close.
