.SNCLavalin has been contracted to provide engineering services for improvements on Mayfield Road in Peel Region to address the need for increased road capacity, infrastructure and utilities, manage existing and future traffic demands.
In recent years, the region has witnessed significant traffic growth due to ongoing development within the City of Brampton and the Town of Caledon, and it is undertaking this next phase of widening and improvements to Mayfield Road to meet traffic demands, indicates a release. The work will take place from Hurontario Street to Heart Lake Road.
The scope of SNC-Lavalin’s mandate includes: addressing deficiencies in road geometry and capacity; providing a solution for the full build-out of the corridor in terms of existing and planned utilities and adjacent developments; consideration of modal shifts, and the need for a complete street for all users, integrating cycling facilities, improving transit facilities and pedestrian safety, goods movement, and incorporating streetscaping to reflect the region’s current policies; and addressing...
