A broken finger had sidelined the veteran NHL forward since Dec. 22.
This has been a whirlwind season for Montreal prospectDrafted No. 33 overall by the Habs last July, the 18-year-old forward arrived in Ottawa on Friday night after being called up on an emergency basis from the Ontario Hockey League’s Peterborough Petes and made his National Hockey League debut against the Senators.
“On my way, I got a text from Suzuki and he invited me to dinner, so that was super-nice to get to know some of the guys.” Then Beck was dealt to the Petes by the OHL’s Mississauga Steelheads. He has 19 goals and 25 assists for 44 points in 37 games this season. The Petes are hoping he can help them make a long playoff run.
