Man found at Swan Lake turned out to be the subject of a Victoria police missing-person investigation, police say
Saanich police and the B.C. Coroners Service did not release the man’s name, but said his next of kin have been notified.“As part of the investigation, communications with Victoria police revealed he was the subject of a missing person investigation,” Saanich police said in a statement late Wednesday. “We offer our condolences to the family”
Earlier this week, police released photos of the man’s tent and sleeping bag where he was found near the intersection of Douglas Street and Haynes Road, hoping the belongings would help to identify the man
