Rihanna's upcoming new song for WakandaForever marks the singer’s triumphant return to music
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever – Music From and Inspired By“Lift Me Up” was written as a tribute to the extraordinary life and legacy of Chadwick Boseman by Nigerian singer-songwriter, Tems, who is a collaborator on the hit song “Essence” with Justin Bieber and Wizkid; Oscar-winning Swedish composer, Ludwig Göransson, who’s scored films such as both instalments of “Creed”, “Venom” and “Tenet”; Rihanna and Ryan Coogler, director of “Wakanda Forever”.
“Lift Me Up” marks a notable return to music for Rihanna, whose last album dropped nearly six years ago. The song, which will be released by Rihanna’s own Westbury Road label in partnership with Roc Nation, Def Jam Recordings and Hollywood Records, ushers in the singer’s next musical era of her iconic career.
