Photo Courtesy of Charlottetown IslandersCHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — The Quebec Remparts showed why they are one of the top teams in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League this season.
The Remparts built period leads of 2-0 and 4-1 before pulling away from the Charlottetown Islanders in the final 20 minutes en route to a 7-1 victory on Oct. 22.James Malatesta , Zachary Marquis-LaFlamme , Charles Savoie, Nathan Gaucher and Zachary Bolduc scored for the Patrick Roy-coached Remparts, who improved to 9-1-0-1 .Jakub Brabenec, assisted by Anton Topilnyckyk, netted the lone goal for the Islanders .
Overall, the Remparts outshot the Islanders 36-21, including a 15-5 margin in the opening frame. Quentin Miller earned the goaltending win and Franky Lapenna tended goal for Charlottetown.The game’s three stars were:The Islanders are back in action on home ice against the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies on Oct. 23 at 3 p.m.
